Best Body Exfoliators

Who doesn’t love a good body exfoliator? It almost feels like having a spa at home – except when you come across an exfoliator that is just not that pleasant. How can a body exfoliator be unpleasant? If it doesn’t have the right ratio of sloughing ingredients to moisturizing ones. I generally lean towards a low-to-medium slough with high moisturizing components because I tend to have dry skin. That being said, I will give an overview of the best body exfoliators based on reviews and tons of trial and error for many skin types.

My all-around favorite body exfoliator is this brown sugar body polish. For me, it’s the perfect amount of grain with a lot of moisturizing properties. The body polish is made grainy with brown sugar and moisturizing with a blend of evening primrose, sweet almond, apricot kernel, and jojoba oils. As I said earlier, I have dry skin, so for my dry skin beauties out there, I do think this is a must-try!

This next one is a more affordable option. When I first opened this body scrub, I didn’t think it would be very exfoliating, but instead very moisturizing. To my surprise, it was both! Upon opening it, it looked like it was whipped cream with a few granules mixed in. Once I tried, it though, I could really feel the exfoliation while leaving my skin super soft.

For all of you that don’t have very dry skin and need that extra scrub power, this one is for you! This coffee scrub is a pure exfoliator in my opinion. It definitely left my skin feeling smoother, however, I would prefer a less intense exfoliation for my skin in particular, which is why I think it could work for many others with a different skin type.

I bought this next one on a whim. It had so many positive reviews that I figured I’d take a chance. From the photos, I was hesitant that there would be larger granules than I’m used to, but in reality, they are tiny ones that are clumped together. The consistency is actually very nice and does a great job exfoliating, while still moisturizing.

Lastly, is this coconut rose scrub. I did not think this would be super moisturizing as I did not see any oil, but I did think it would be up my alley for exfoliating purposes since the granules are very small. I was surprised on both fronts! It’s not as exfoliating as the coffee scrub, but it does a great job. It’s also fairly moisturizing despite not having visible oil. I would note that this scrub has a strong smell of rose.

Each scrub is a great option, but I do think it’s important to know your skin type as well as how a scrub is before you purchase so that you can make an informed decision.
